Role Overview:

The Franchise Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new franchise partners, ensuring consistent store profitability, and maintaining brand standards across all franchise outlets. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, relationship management, retail operations knowledge, and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Franchise Development & Expansion

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities for franchise expansion in line with company strategy.
  • Generate leads and convert potential investors/franchisees through structured business presentations and financial modeling.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site evaluations, and market potential analysis for proposed locations.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and finalize franchise agreements in collaboration with the legal and finance teams.

2. Franchise Partner Management

  • Act as the key point of contact for franchise partners, ensuring adherence to operational and brand guidelines.
  • Provide continuous support to franchisees in business planning, marketing, and operations.
  • Monitor franchise store performance and implement improvement plans to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Address and resolve partner issues promptly, maintaining long-term relationships based on trust and transparency.

3. Retail Operations Support

  • Coordinate with internal departments (merchandising, visual merchandising, supply chain, marketing, etc.) to ensure smooth franchise operations.
  • Review store performance reports and recommend corrective actions for underperforming stores.
  • Ensure all stores meet brand standards related to store layout, customer experience, and operational excellence.

4. Strategic & Financial Accountability

  • Drive the achievement of franchise sales and expansion targets as per the business plan.
  • Track ROI and financial performance of franchise stores; support franchisees with financial insights.
  • Prepare periodic business reports and market intelligence for senior management.
