This position is part of a team that manages the data and business architecture for pan finance solutions within the Finance, Technology Data & Transformation (FTD&T) group. The primary responsibility for this role is to lead the end-to-end data and process architecture and de livery for projects for multiple line of businesses within Finance organization at American Express. This role is part of the FTD&T team and is responsible for building, deploying, and managing automated solutions for managing extremely large datasets in partnership with American Express Technologies. The job s focus include s , but is not limited to : Manag ing the deployment of Finance s anomaly detection tool across multiple data sources. Defin ing the functional design for data anomaly detection and resolution, data quality and recommend solutions . Partner ing with Finance stakeholders and Technology partners to design, build, test and deploy solutions to fulfill data monitoring and anomaly detection process requirements. Test case and plan creation, execution, and coordination . Anomaly detection tool support , d efect identification and resolution . The responsibilities of this job include: Finance process analysis Work with the Finance pro duct owners and other teams to understand the ir data and processes . Participate in development of plans and strategies, best practices, and standards related to data management processes, data products, data security and programs. Work with product team to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a prioritized list of data requirements / user stories. Recommend and evaluate various modelling techniques to identify data anomalies across different dimensions . Design data structures and views to support the reporting/dashboard delivery for data anomaly detection . Solution Design Design processes to monitor Finance data to detect anomalies and resolve data quality issues. Contribute to decisions about tools, methods and approaches. Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies. Build/Deployment Work with AET, Finance partners, and other stakeholders, to deploy anomaly detection solutions across the appropriate Finance user base. Perform testing and data validation as needed. Provide product s upport and expertise to the users of the anomaly detection tools. Qualifications Bachelor s degree in finance , Information Management, Data Management , Computer Science , Statistics , or similar field preferred Previous work experience in various Finance disciplines such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Banking, Data Management, and other data related projects preferred . Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and data management concepts; knowledge of SQ L or other query languages. Previous experience working with large volumes of data, architecting data solutions, extracting insights, and supporting analytic and reporting platforms is desired. Basic understanding of Big Data environments (unstructured, structured) and related technologies (e.g., E T L, Machine Learning). Basic understanding of Agile methodology and delivery concepts Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong relationship skills. Previous experience working closely with Technologies to deploy systems to re-engineer processes and solve complex business problems. Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously .
