Role Overview:

The Manager Finance will be responsible for managing statutory and internal audits, ensuring compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations, handling GST departmental audits, overseeing internal controls, and managing key accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. The role demands strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with a keen eye for compliance and accuracy.


Must-Have Criteria

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
  • Minimum 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Prior experience in Internet / B2C / Product or high-growth Tech companies
  • Hands-on exposure to group consolidation, audits, group reporting and compliance


Key Responsibilities:


Command the full spectrum of finance functions

  • End-to-end ownership across Accounting, Business Finance, FP&A, Taxation, Compliance, and Risk Oversight.
  • Proven experience collaborating with Big Four auditors (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) to ensure statutory compliance and financial accuracy.
  • Deep understanding of both domestic (IND-AS, GST, corporate tax) and international (IFRS) accounting standards.
  • Ability to integrate finance functions with broader business strategy for holistic performance management.
  • Group consolidation is mandatory requirement.


Strategic financial advisory

•Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial planning, growth strategy, and investment decisions.

•Deliver scenario analyses, KPI dashboards, and actionable insights to inform decision-making.

•Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, market entry, or business expansion with data-backed recommendations.

•Provide guidance to optimize working capital, cash flow, and capital structure.


Budgeting, forecasting, and reporting excellence

•Architect robust budgeting and forecasting frameworks aligned with business priorities.

•Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

•Develop dashboards and analytics to track performance, highlight risks, and recommend corrective action.

•Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes for efficiency and insightfulness.


Governance and compliance leadership


•Enforce rigorous statutory and regulatory compliance across all finance operations.

•Lead internal and external audits with minimal observations and enhanced transparency.

•Strengthen internal controls to proactively identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.

•Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, risk policies, and ethical frameworks.


Business partnering and profitability enhancement

•Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate and prioritize capital allocation decisions.

•Optimize pricing strategies and implement cost transformation programs to enhance profitability.

•Conduct financial analysis to support product, project, and market-level decisions.

•Track ROI and operational performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.


Financial modernization and innovation

•Lead automation initiatives across accounting, reporting, and analytics processes.

•Implement best-in-class financial systems for scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.

•Drive process innovation to reduce manual intervention and enhance operational productivity.

•Stay ahead of emerging finance technologies and trends to future-proof finance operations.


Talent leadership and team development

•Build and mentor a high-performing finance team through structured coaching and guidance.

•Encourage a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

•Implement succession planning and capability-building programs to ensure long-term stability.

•Recognize and nurture emerging leaders within the organization.


Stakeholder and relationship management

•Develop strong relationships with auditors, banks, consultants, and investors.

•Serve as the organization’s credible financial representative to external stakeholders.

•Enhance stakeholder confidence through transparency, timely reporting, and strategic communication.

•Foster collaboration and alignment between finance and business teams.


Must-Have Skills:

  • FP&A-

    Strong business acumen on budgeting and forecasting process with ability to justify business valuations to various stakeholders.
  • In-depth Knowledge of Taxation Laws –

    Strong expertise in GST, TDS, and other direct/indirect tax regulations, including statutory compliance and audit handling.
  • Experience in Audit Management

    – Proven track record of successfully managing statutory audits, internal audits, and departmental GST audits including consolidation at group level.
  • Strong Reconciliation Skills –

    Hands-on experience with 26AS, GSTR-2B, vendor/customer ledgers, and other key reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting Expertise –

    Ability to prepare and review financial statements as per applicable accounting standards (IND-AS/IGAAP).
  • Internal Controls & Process Implementation –

    Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring effective internal control processes.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management –

    Proficiency in vendor payment processing, customer collections, and ageing analysis.
  • Advanced Excel & ERP Proficiency –

    Skilled in using MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.) for reporting and analysis.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills –

    Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management –

    Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Time Management & Accuracy –

    Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
