Manager- Biomedical

Role & responsibilities

To head the department of clinical engineering.

To plan and execute the entire activities of the clinical engineering department and ensure the delivery of services in respect of attending the complaints, trouble shooting, repair, preventive maintenance, installation and calibration of all medical equipments in the hospital.

To prepare the technical specification/ requirements/ recommendations/ comparisons/ evaluation for the biomedical equipment purchase.

To Effectively utilise the resources such as men and materials in the department and allocate it properly.

To track the Resolution Time of all complaints through FIXIT / or otherwise ensure the performance of the department.

To work for achieving the established long and short range goals and objectives of the Department.

Ensure the safety, efficiency and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.

To do the installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with medical equipment systems

Work with the engineers when equipment installations, troubleshooting, repair and performing preventive maintenance and calibration on all medical instrumentation.

Provide the site training to Biomedical staff members, physicians, nurses and other supportive staffs on the operation maintenance and limited troubleshooting.

Ensure timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure the optimal system performance, resulting in the internal customer satisfaction.

Work with medical staff and analyze their technical problems and decide with engineered equipment or technical services might improve their situation

Maintain of record and documents required for the department.

Train new staff and create training plan to improve staff skills and job development.

Involves and participate Hospital continual quality improvement process.

Preferred candidate profile

B. Tech/ B.E in Biomedical engineering with minimum 5 years experience preferably in healthcare.
