Job Description

1. Planning & Project Management

  • Prepare project schedules, execution plans, and resource allocation.
  • Define project milestones, timelines, and technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate among design, procurement, production, logistics, and site erection teams.

2. Engineering & Technical Oversight

  • Review structural designs, drawings, and fabrication details.
  • Verify load calculations, material specifications, and architectural requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with IS codes, AISC standards, and client specifications.
  • Provide technical solutions for fabrication or onsite erection challenges.

3. Material & Procurement Management

  • Plan steel material requirements as per BOQ and project scope.
  • Coordinate with procurement for timely purchase of steel, roofing sheets, fasteners, and accessories.
  • Monitor quality and quantity of incoming materials.

4. Steel Fabrication Supervision

  • Monitor fabrication processes: cutting, welding, drilling, painting, and assembly.
  • Ensure proper use of machines (CNC, welding stations, beam lines, etc.).
  • Maintain fabrication quality standards and reduce rework.

5. Site Execution & Erection Management

  • Oversee onsite PEB erection activities (columns, rafters, purlins, sheeting, cladding).
  • Conduct site inspections, safety checks, and installation audits.
  • Resolve onsite technical issues and ensure timely installation.

6. Quality Assurance & Safety

  • Implement QA/QC procedures for raw materials and fabricated components.
  • Conduct routine inspections, welding tests, and alignment checks.
  • Ensure safety compliance during handling, lifting, and erection of heavy steel components.

7. Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct project meetings and share progress reports with management and clients.
  • Manage change requests, approvals, and technical clarifications.

8. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Monitor project costs, material consumption, and labor expenses.
  • Minimize wastage and ensure efficient material usage.
  • Track deviations and provide cost-optimization strategies.

9. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation: drawings, inspection reports, material certificates, etc.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
  • Ensure documentation compliance for audits and client handover.

10. Team Management

  • Supervise site engineers, supervisors, fabrication staff, and contractors.
  • Provide training on PEB processes, quality standards, and safety practices.
  • Evaluate team performance and assign responsibilities.
