Job Title: Manager Accounts & Finance - Australia Location: Prahaladnagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat Department: Accounting/Finance Work from Office Profile Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Australian Accounting to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations for our Australian entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial records and reports, as well as providing support to senior management on key financial decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Compliance:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Australian entities in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Oversee the preparation of tax returns, BAS (Business Activity Statements), and IAS (Installment Activity Statements) in compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements. Ensure compliance with all local financial regulations and company policies. Management of Accounting Operations:Supervise and lead a team of accountants, ensuring effective workflow and timely completion of financial tasks. Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger processes. Review and manage internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate record-keeping. Budgeting & Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities. Provide variance analysis and ensure the accurate forecasting of financial performance. Taxation & Reporting:Manage Australian tax obligations, including GST, PAYG, and other relevant taxes. Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process. Stakeholder Communication:Collaborate with senior management and department heads to support business decision-making with financial insights. Communicate effectively with external auditors, consultants, and tax advisors. Team Leadership:Provide guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for accounting staff. Promote a collaborative work environment and foster team engagement and performance. Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA qualification is preferred). A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Australian accounting, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role. In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AAS), IFRS, and Australian taxation laws. Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent understanding of tax compliance (GST, PAYG, BAS, and IAS). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar), Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
