Management Trainee (HR)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated Payroll & MIS Management Trainee to support our HR team in payroll operations, HR data management, HRMS activities, and ongoing HRMS-to-New HRMS migration projects. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, basic payroll knowledge, and the ability to work confidently with HR software and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

• Assist in monthly payroll processing activities, including data collection, validation, and preparation of payroll inputs.

• Verify attendance, leave, overtime, reimbursements, and other payroll-related data.

• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation data.

HRMS Migration Support

• Assist in migrating HR and payroll data from one HRMS platform to another.

• Work closely with HRMS/technical teams on data mapping, formatting, and validation.

• Perform data quality checks, reconcile data between systems, and ensure error-free migration.

• Learn and understand HRMS functionalities, workflows, and reporting modules.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare regular HR MIS reports such as headcount, payroll reports, attendance dashboards, and attrition data.

• Support ad hoc reporting requirements from HR and management.

• Work effectively with Excel, HRMS dashboards, and reporting tools for data analysis and presentation.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of payroll processes and statutory components (PF, ESI, PT, etc.).

• Strong analytical abilities with good knowledge of MS Excel and data handling.

• Ability to adapt quickly to HRMS platforms and software tools.

• Keen attention to detail and a strong problem-solving attitude.

• Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
