About The Role : - Grade Specific The Major Incident Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the response to critical incidents that have a significant impact on business operations. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication, and implementing incident management best practices to minimize the impact of disruptions. Incident : Rapidly assess and identify major incidents, classifying their impact and urgency. Collaborate with relevant teams to gather information and understand the scope of the incident. Primary Skills 1. Incident Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams during the resolution of major incidents. Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to address critical issues promptly. Maintain a centralized incident log and track resolution progress. 2. Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including executives, IT teams, and end-users. Provide regular updates on the incident status, resolution progress, and expected timelines. 3. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis for major incidents to prevent recurrence. Work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and improvements. Secondary Skills 1. Documentation: Document incident details, resolution processes, and post-incident reports. Contribute to the development and maintenance of incident management procedures. 2. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in incident management processes.
