Job Description

You will be the Senior Major Incident Commander at Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company known for its innovative financial services and guidance. In this role, you will lead crisis resolution across multiple platforms during major incidents. Your responsibilities will include: - Executing the major incident management process and leading major incident calls to resolve incidents efficiently and restore service with minimal impact on clients and business. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of procedures, controls, and guidelines for an efficient major incident management process. - Monitoring incident trends to identify opportunities for reducing service disruptions. - Creating clear and repeatable procedures for support teams to follow easily. - Assisting in simplifying, integrating, automating, and refining the major incident process to better support the business and clients during service disruptions. - Training associates on major incident management process and procedures through coaching and mentoring. - Demonstrating leadership by setting an example, being confident, self-motivated, and collaborative. Qualifications required for this role include: - 16+ years of overall experience with 10+ years in IT Service Management (ITSM). - 6+ years of experience as a Major Incident Commander in a 24x7 production environment. - Working experience with various IT Infrastructure components. - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience. - ITIL V4 certified (Managed Service Professional or Strategic Leader certification is a plus). - Experience working in global, cross-functional, collaborative teams. - Analytical and detail-oriented thought process with excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and a 24x7 command center.
