Job Description

The Manager - Plant Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all plant machinery and equipment. This role requires strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of heavy machinery to minimize downtime, enhance productivity, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure maximum uptime of plant equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in heavy machinery. Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing technical guidance and training as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Plan and oversee equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades. Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and procurement of necessary tools and materials. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, failures, and corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant maintenance processes and reduce operational costs. Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for equipment maintenance and repairs. Required Skills & Qualifications: 7-10 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in a heavy machinery manufacturing or processing industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components in heavy machinery. Hands-on experience with PLCs, automation systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. Experience in implementing TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and other maintenance best practices. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field
