One of India Top Manufacturing Client Based at Perundurai is on the look Out For: Maintenance Engineer Only From PVC; Extrusions and HDPE Pipes - Experience No of Vacancies: 3 Location: Perundurai Qualification: BE _ Mech Experience: 10 + Years Package: 5 - 7 Lacs Job Description and Responsibilities : 1. Manufacturing & Process Optimization: Oversee the extrusion, molding, and fabrication processes for PVC & HDPE pipes and fittings. Optimize production parameters to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Work with the maintenance team to ensure proper functioning of extruders, injection molding machines, and other processing equipment. 2. Quality Control & Compliance: Implement quality control measures to meet ISO, ASTM, and BIS standards. Conduct material testing, dimensional analysis, and hydrostatic tests for pipe durability. Troubleshoot defects, production inconsistencies, and customer complaints. 3. Product Design & Development: Assist in the design and development of new pipe and fitting products based on market requirements. Work with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other design software for technical drawings. Innovate in material formulations to enhance product strength, flexibility, and lifespan. 4. Project Management & Cost Control: Monitor production costs, efficiency, and raw material consumption. Work with procurement to source PVC, HDPE resins, and additives. Ensure timely project completion and optimize plant layouts for better workflow. 5. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and environmental regulations. Train operators and technicians on best practices for pipe manufacturing and equipment handling. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 10 to 15 years of experience in PVC/HDPE pipe manufacturing. Strong knowledge of extrusion, injection molding, and compounding processes. Proficiency in CAD software, FEA analysis, and process simulation tools. Familiarity with ISO, ASTM, and BIS standards for piping systems. Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen is a plus.
