Job Description

Mainframe Batch Testing Specialist

Experience Required:

Responsibilities

Analyze specifications and create test designs based on functional requirements.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Categorize and report severity incidents; interface with developers to resolve technical issues.
Perform data-driven testing using extensive datasets in test scripts.
Execute all phases of end-to-end testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), functionality testing, regression testing, and documentation.
Utilize TSO and ISPF to interact with mainframe data.
Work with Cybermation, mainframe JCL, file handling, and SORT utilities.
Prepare test data for functional testing.
Test applications developed with JCL and COBOL using both automated and manual testing approaches.
Write SQL and PL/SQL scripts to verify large file updates, inserts, and deletes.
Maintain good knowledge of RTM, documentation, and handover activities.
