Position Overview We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team in India . As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications in a collaborative environment. Your technical expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of projects that meet our clients' needs. Role Responsibilities Design and develop mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Analyze requirements and transform them into functional specifications. Implement and support new features and changes in existing applications. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications. Develop and execute test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements. Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users. Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards. Debug and resolve technical issues that arise during development. Document development processes and technical specifications. Participate in project planning and scheduling activities. Utilize Agile methodologies to ensure timely project completion. Monitor and manage batch jobs and troubleshoot any failures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies. Support incident management and root cause analysis activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mainframe development. Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Experience with CICS and other relevant mainframe technologies. Strong understanding of software development life cycle. Experience with Agile project management methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with performance tuning and optimization. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Knowledge of mainframe testing tools and practices. Familiarity with batch processing and data management. Experience documenting technical specifications and processes. Willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
