Mainframe Assembler

Role Overview: At Capgemini Engineering, you will be part of a global team of engineers, scientists, and architects dedicated to helping innovative companies unleash their potential across various industries. Your role will involve designing and developing in core assembly language, resolving customer issues, collaborating with teams, and delivering high-quality code for new development or problem resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Minimum 4+ years of experience in Assembler, Assembly language - Perform design and development in core assembly language, able to understand asm macros - Resolve customer issues based on customer logs - Collaborate with the L2 team to understand customer issues and provide proactive query resolution on customer scenarios - Deliver high quality code for new development or customer issues - Actively debug code to identify issues - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate development progress and coordinate efforts for timely closure - Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, technologies, and methodologies related to z/os mainframe - Preferred experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to work in an Agile environment Qualifications Required: - Apply scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems - Responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge - Exercise original thought and judgment, and supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers - Build skills and expertise in software engineering discipline - Collaborate and act as a team player with other software engineers and stakeholders Additional Company Details: Capgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner with a diverse team of over 340,000 members in more than 50 countries.
