Machine Shop Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Process Planning and Improvement: Developing and optimizing machining processes, including selecting appropriate tools, materials, and techniques. Analyzing existing processes to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality. Developing and maintaining production plans and schedules. Quality Control: Ensuring that manufactured parts meet quality standards and specifications. Conducting inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues. Implementing corrective actions to prevent future quality problems. Equipment Maintenance and Management: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of machine shop equipment, including CNC machines and other tools. Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Ensuring that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Technical Support and Problem Solving: Providing technical support to machinists and other shop personnel. Troubleshooting machine issues and developing solutions to production problems. Analyzing and resolving production problems and implementing corrective actions. Safety: Ensuring that the machine shop environment is safe and compliant with all relevant safety regulations. Developing and implementing safety procedures and training programs. Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with other departments, such as engineering, purchasing, and quality control. Communicating effectively with team members and management. Providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members. Other Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining production documentation, such as work instructions and process maps. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in manufacturing technologies and techniques. May be involved in the design and development of new products or processes. Preferred candidate profile Age above 25 Years and below 40 Tears Experience - Atleast 2 Years of experience in an engineering machine shop having hands of experience in CNC Turning Perks and benefits Salary, ESI, EPF, Annual Bonus, Food, Transport from Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Ambattur, Appraisal purely based on performance, uniform, safety shoes, etc.
