More about Gravita can be explored at: http://www.gravitaindia.com Location Head office - Jaipur Department Logistic Reportingto Department Head / Functional Head Key Responsibility 1 End-to-End Logistics Management Oversee and manage domestic and international logistics operations, including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods movement. Drive logistics & distribution activities using innovative solutions Overall knowledge of import/Exports trade lanes and coordination with shipping line, CHA’s, freight forwarders etc. 2 . Transport & Fleet Management Optimize transportation routes and modes (road, rail, air, sea) to reduce costs and ensure timely deliveries. Manage owned and third-party fleets, including compliance with RTO and transportation norms. 3.Vendor & 3PL Coordination Select, negotiate with, and manage logistics service providers (3PLs, courier partners, transporters). Ensure performance evaluation through SLAs, TAT, and cost benchmarks. Manage vendor relations, negotiate contracts & service excellence. 4.Warehouse & Inventory Management Ensure optimal utilization of warehouse space and infrastructure. Coordinate with warehouse teams for smooth dispatches, FIFO/LIFO control, and cycle counting. 5.Cost Optimization & Budgeting Prepare and manage the logistics budget with in defined strategies. Identify and implement cost-saving solutions in freight, warehouse, and packaging. Analyze KPI’s to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvement 6.Regulatory Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with all applicable laws such as GST, E-Way bills, Hazardous waste, FSSAI (if applicable), and export-import norms. Maintain accurate and timely documentation for transportation and customs clearance. 7.Technology & Systems Implementation Drive the implementation and utilization of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and WMS/TMS tools for real-time tracking and process automation. Familiar with SAP Ariba for reverse auctions 8.Cross-functional Coordination Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Planning, Sales, and Customer service to align logistics with business objectives. 9.Risk Management & Disruption Handling Develop contingency plans to manage logistics disruptions due to weather, strikes, or other unexpected challenges. 10.Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals across multiple locations. Drive performance, continuous improvement, and capability building. Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (mandatory). MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management (preferred for Senior Manager position). Experience Minimum 12- 15 years of experience in relevant field Additional Skills 1.Strategic Thinking & Planning Ability to design and implement long-term logistics strategies aligned with business goals. 2.Data-Driven Decision Making Strong analytical skills to interpret logistics KPIs, cost analysis, and route optimization data. 3.ERP & Tech Savvy Proficiency in ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), 4.Communication & Coordination Skills Excellent verbal and written communication to coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clients.
