Role & responsibilities Experience of/ able to understand the provisions under Industrial Dispute Act, Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, Employees Compensation Act, Employee;s Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Employees State Insurance Act, Factories Act, Industrial Employment (Standing Orders Act). Experience of handling cases filed by or against the Company under various labour and Industrial laws. Experience of/ able to understand the provisions under Industrial Dispute Act, Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, Employees Compensation Act, Employee;s Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, Employees State Insurance Act, Factories Act, Industrial Employment (Standing Orders Act), Minimum Wages Act, Maternity Benefits Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Payment of Bonus Act, Maharashtra Recognition of Trade Unions and Prevention of Labour Practices Act. Ensure legal compliance under Labour and Industrial Laws. Independently draft/ vet employment/ contract labour Agreements. Visit courts/Tribunal on due dates of the cases, and coordinate in advance with external lawyers to provide documentary evidence, prepare witnesses of evidence before the Court, review petitions/complaints/replies/written statement/Evidence in Affidavit/ written notes of Argument and provide necessary inputs to strengthen pending cases. Prepare and update presentation of pending cases for review of the management. Maintain atmost confidentiality relating to pending cases Role purpose The candidate will be responsible to assist external Advocates to handle cases under Labour and Industrial laws, ensure related legal compliance, drafting and vetting employment/Contract Labour Agreements. Preferred candidate profile Educational Qualifications - Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) Additional qualification in Labour Laws will be an added advantage. Prior Experience - 3+ Yrs. of Experience in handling labour cases. Domain Knowledge - Must be able to read and understand Marathi language Handle Labour litigation. Labour laws related legal compliance. Drafting and vetting employment/ Contract labour Agreements. IT Skills - MS Power Point, MS Word, MS Excel, Integrating AI in the work would be an added advantage.
