We’re looking for a proactive Finance Controller to lead and streamline our financial operations. This role will be central to ensuring accounting accuracy, statutory compliance, and robust financial planning. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to enable data-driven decisions and maintain financial discipline while supporting our growth trajectory. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Compliance Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger. Drive accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. Prepare and finalize financial statements in line with Indian GAAP. Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, PF/ESI, and other regulatory requirements. Manage ROC filings, income tax returns, and coordinate with secretarial teams. Liaise with statutory and internal auditors. Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks such as IND-AS, Companies Act, and other relevant financial regulations. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecast reviews. Track budget vs. actuals, investigate variances, and highlight risks/opportunities. Build MIS dashboards, financial models, and reports for leadership. Monitor cash flow, burn rate, working capital, and liquidity metrics. Partner with department heads to track and forecast cost centers and revenue streams. Strategic Finance Support Support fundraising, investor updates, and board reporting. Provide financial inputs on pricing, resource planning, and cost optimization. Evaluate and strengthen internal financial controls; identify automation opportunities. Participate in due diligence and financial modeling during key strategic transactions. Manage or mentor junior finance staff and coordinate with external consultants as needed. Skill Requirements CA or MBA (Finance) preferred. 5–10 years of experience in accounting, compliance, and FP&A roles. Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance. Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; hands-on experience with tools like Tally, Zoho Books, or ERP platforms. Prior experience in a startup, tech, or gaming company is a strong plus. Knowledge of IND-AS, Companies Act, or other financial control frameworks is a plus. Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
