About the Role

Liferay Full-Stack Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain

  Liferay DXP

  solutions using

  Java

  ,

  Spring Boot

  ,

  HTML

  ,

  jQuery

  ,

  JavaScript

  , and related technologies.
• Develop portals using Liferay’s

  out-of-the-box (OOTB) portlets

  ,

  Liferay MVC Portlets

  ,

  Spring MVC portlets

  ,

  JSR 286 Portlet

  ,

  React modules

  , and

  OSGi microservice modules

  as per requirements.
• Implement

  Liferay Client Extensions

  and configure all OOTB features including

  Objects

  ,

  Forms

  ,

  Fragments

  , and

  Templates

  .
• Work with

  Liferay Control Panels

  , system, and instance configurations to customize and manage the platform effectively.
• Integrate Liferay with third-party applications using

  REST APIs

  ,

  Web Services

  , and

  Liferay Headless APIs

  .
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver robust, user-friendly solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, industry best practices, and maintain clean, modularized, and reusable code following standard design patterns.
• Optimize performance, security, and scalability of Liferay-based applications.
• Manage build and deployment processes using

  Jenkins

  ,

  SonarQube

  Maven/Gradle

  , and perform unit testing with

  JUnit

• Work with relational databases such as

  MySQL

  or

  PostgreSQL

  ; knowledge of

  NoSQL

  databases is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years

  of experience in Liferay DXP development and implementation.
• Strong understanding of

  Liferay DXP architecture

  , portals, and content management components.
• Hands-on experience in developing both frontend and backend modules in Liferay.
• Proven experience in

  REST API

  and

  Web Service

  integration with Liferay.
• Proficiency in

  Java

  ,

  Spring Boot

  ,

  HTML

  CSS

  ,

  JavaScript

  ,

  jQuery

  ,

  React

  OSGi

  .
• Solid understanding of build tools (

  Maven/Gradle

  ) and CI/CD pipelines (

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL); NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for working in cross-functional, collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Liferay Certification

  (e.g., Liferay DXP Developer Certification).
• Experience in large-scale enterprise portal projects.
• Knowledge of cloud deployment and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
