Hi, We are having an opening for License Compliance & GRC Manager a our Mumbai location. Job Summary : We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manager HAM, SAM, Licensing Compliance, and GRC to lead the governance of IT assets and licensing compliance while also managing governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions. This strategic role will oversee hardware and software asset management (HAM/SAM), ensure compliance with licensing agreements, and implement IT GRC frameworks in line with organizational policies and global standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, licensing models, audit processes, and regulatory compliance, along with proven experience in risk management, policy enforcement, and IT governance. Areas Of Responsibility : 1. Hardware & Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM): Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets (procurement to retirement). Maintain accurate inventories for hardware and software using ITAM tools. Define and enforce asset tracking standards and policies. Optimize asset usage and reduce costs through efficient deployment and redeployment strategies. 2. Licensing Compliance: Ensure adherence to software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and true-ups for major software vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.). Track software usage and entitlements to prevent overuse or underutilization. Work with procurement, legal, and vendor management for contract reviews and renewals. 3. Governance & Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards on asset utilization, compliance status, and cost optimization. Establish KPIs and SLAs for IT asset management and ensure alignment with global governance standards. Collaborate with procurement, finance, security, and infrastructure teams for process integration. 4. Team & Vendor Management: Lead a team of analysts/coordinators for asset and compliance operations. Liaise with software/hardware vendors and external auditors as required. Drive training and awareness on asset handling and compliance best practices. Educational Qualification : Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Specific Certification : ITIL v4 Foundation Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) Microsoft Licensing Specialist Certification Skills : Strong analytical and audit skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Policy writing and enforcement Risk identification and mitigation Attention to detail with process-driven mindset Experience : 8-12 years of experience in IT asset management, software compliance, and IT GRC. Strong understanding of global compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.). Expertise in tools such as ManageEngine, Flexera, Lansweeper, or SCCM. Demonstrated experience in licensing audits and compliance management.

The Subscription License Compliance Team The Subscription License Compliance Team s mission is to increase ARR by recovering lost revenue due to compliance overages. We do this by educating and enabling our customers, partners, and employees. The Senior Manager, Subscription License Compliance Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Subscription Compliance, this role will be responsible for all compliance-related activities in the Asia-Pacific ( APAC ) region. You will work with internal tools and systems to determine if Okta s customers are in compliance with the terms and conditions of their agreements. When subscription violations are identified, You will collaborate with Sales and other internal teams to resolve the compliance issues and drive revenue growth while ensuring a positive sales experience for the customer. You have strong leadership skills and are capable of driving action across many functions. You are a confident business partner, a critical thinker, and extremely analytical. You are comfortable operating at all levels, with an eye on the strategic big picture, while also able to understand the nuances of specific products and customers. Summary / Role Purpose The License Compliance Investigator II (LCI2) is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities to generate business through license compliance (LC) cases. The LCI2 needs to independently analyze data collected by the Call Home solution, build a license compliance case, and provide guidance to the LC Specialists. Key Duties and Responsibilities Identify and qualify LC leads (antipiracy). The LCI2 will use the Case Management Software to identify, manage, track and document antipiracy cases identified through the Case Management Software, CRM and other sources. Research LC cases. The LCI2 will convert LC leads into LC cases by following the LC Investigation process i.e., identify the individual users by using publicly available and commercial databases; confirm the correct identification of the infringing organization using TCP/IP tools; compare the infringed licenses with assets and entitlements in the CRM; and examine the account history in the CRM. Prepare documentation to transfer LC cases to the LC Specialist and/or Legal Firms and/or LC Agencies. Use the Case Management Software to document the case investigation and maintain historical records for all LC cases; find, access and update case information; and share critical case information across the LC organization. In addition, the LCI2 will coordinate calls and one-on-ones with the LC Specialist to review, continue to investigate and transfer the case. Prepare and courier License Compliance Letters. After reviewing a case with the LC Specialist, the LCI2 will use templates to prepare license compliance letters and courier and/or e-mail them according to the local License Compliance process. In addition, the LCI2 will document all communications using the Case Management Software. Participate in LC calls with other teams and 3rd-parties. Participate and, if necessary, coordinate calls with the LC Specialist, Sales, Channel Partners, Legal Firms, LC agencies and/or 3rd-party software auditors to transfer, continue to investigate, review and/or or work on LC cases.
