Leveraged Finance Underwriting - Sr. Vice President

As a Portfolio Manager/Team Lead at Citi within the Global Leveraged Finance Underwriting Team (LFU) in the Institutional Credit Management (ICM) division, your role involves leading and coordinating a team of Analysts and Associates. You will be responsible for providing quality assurance, timely delivery, and analytical rigor while serving as the primary contact for coaching and supervising the junior team members. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee credit monitoring support for Citis Leveraged Finance Portfolio and Infrastructure Finance (IF) and Clean Energy Finance (CEF) - Support LFUs underwriters in credit approval and origination process for leveraged finance/Project Finance transactions - Lead a best-in-class Leveraged Lending Underwriting organization to enhance Citis end-to-end credit management process - Provide critical support across LFUs core functions such as portfolio monitoring, problem recognition, new originations, coaching, and adherence to policies - Supervise analysts and associates in conducting periodic reviews of clients" financial performance, covenant compliance, and competitive position - Review and analyze valuation models and client operating/financial performance for LFU Underwriters and Risk - Coach and mentor junior team members to sustain a strong credit culture and commitment to excellence - Evaluate clients" business and financial performances, raise issues as needed, and stay current on relevant Leveraged Lending market trends Qualifications: - 13+ years of credit or related leveraged finance experience - MBA, CA, or CFA qualification - Team player with strong work ethic - Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills - Experience in leading a team and coaching junior bankers - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Ability to analyze data and provide concise credit recommendations - Thorough understanding of credit and portfolio management processes - Adherence to quality assurance and control environment - Proven culture carrier Citi offers the opportunity to be part of a global family of dedicated individuals, with a focus on career growth, community involvement, and making a real impact.
