Lending Officer

Role Overview: Deutsche Bank's Lending Asia team is seeking a Lending Officer to join their well-established team in Mumbai, India. The team specializes in providing liquidity solutions tailored for ultra/high net worth individuals. As a Lending Officer, you will lead a local team of credit analysts, manage financing enquiries and live execution, conduct financial analysis, research sponsors/clients, and assist in credit approval analysis. Your role will also involve monitoring transaction covenants, participating in system testing, and engaging in potential ad hoc projects. Private bank/Wealth Management experience is preferred, along with skills in change management and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the local team of credit analysts and liaise with senior onshore desk heads/counterparts - Build and develop the local team in terms of skillsets and Book of Work - Conduct financial analysis of underlying companies and/or collateral - Research sponsors/clients and provide transaction writeup and internal transaction presentation - Monitor transaction covenants and assist in credit renewal process - Participate in system testing and potential ad hoc projects - Input new/to-be-renewed credit files and risk ratings into the lending digital platform - Prioritize private bank/Wealth Management experience and change management skills Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in managing and leading a team with similar skillsets - Strong knowledge of Lending business and credit analysis - Superior analytical aptitude, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills - At least 10 years of experience in a financial institution in a similar role - Attention to detail, high level of motivation, and ability to work collaboratively Company Details: Deutsche Bank Group strives for a culture of empowerment, responsibility, commercial thinking, initiative, and collaboration.
