Key Responsibilities

1. Legal & Policy Research

  • Source, review, and summarise laws, rules, regulations, and judgments from Indian and international jurisdictions.

  • Monitor updates to statutes and judicial developments across sectors such as corporate, data privacy, fintech, and consumer protection.

2. Data Structuring & Quality

  • Tag and organise legal documents using Veaver’s data taxonomy and ontology.
  • Collaborate with AI teams to improve classification and summarisation accuracy.
  • Maintain high standards of factual precision and neutrality in all published information.

3. Collaboration with Product & AI Teams

  • Translate research findings into usable datasets and insights for the product and AI teams.
  • Participate in defining validation benchmarks for AI models analysing legal content.
  • Provide legal interpretation context for model training and testing.

4. Contribution to Knowledge & Learning

  • Support in preparing internal knowledge reports, briefs, and explainers.
  • Participate in legal-tech innovation discussions and contribute ideas for improving user experience.
  • Engage with mentors and senior researchers to develop legal-tech and data literacy skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Law (LL.B. / LL.M.) or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience

in legal research, law-firm knowledge teams, policy think-tanks, or editorial roles in law/policy domains.
  • Strong understanding of Indian legal systems and comfort navigating primary legal sources.
  • Familiarity with research databases such as

    SCC, Manupatra, LexisNexis,

    or official government repositories.
  • Excellent written communication — able to translate complex legal text into structured, accessible content.
  • A plus if you’ve worked with

data annotation, research automation, or AI-based legal tools.

Why Join Veaver
