Job Description

Legal Drafting & Documentation Draft and Review Legal Documents : Prepare and vet legal notices, circulars, management notices, and internal communications to ensure clarity and compliance. 2. Litigation & Dispute Resolution Case Management : Oversee all legal disputes, including civil, criminal, and company-related cases. Manage litigation processes, coordinate with external counsel, and ensure timely resolution. MSME Case Handling : Specifically manage cases related to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. Representation : Represent the company in legal proceedings, including attending hearings and presenting cases on behalf of the organization. 3. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Compliance Monitoring : Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal trends that may impact the organization. Provide recommendations for compliance and implement necessary policies. Risk Assessment : Identify and assess legal and regulatory risks across the company's operations and develop strategies to mitigate them. Training & Awareness : Conduct legal training sessions for employees to promote awareness of legal obligations and ethical standards. 4. Corporate Governance & Secretarial Duties Board Support : Prepare agendas, minutes, and documentation for board meetings. Ensure that board decisions are communicated and implemented effectively. Statutory Compliance : Ensure compliance with the company's memorandum and articles of association, and manage statutory records, including registers of members, directors, and shareholdings. Stakeholder Communication : Liaise with shareholders, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on legal matters, ensuring transparency and compliance. 5. Strategic Legal Advisory Business Support : Provide legal advice on business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions. Policy Formulation : Assist in developing company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency. Intellectual Property Management : Oversee the management and protection of the company's intellectual property assets, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. 6. Team Leadership & Development Department Oversight : Lead the legal department, managing team performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services. Talent Development : Mentor and develop legal team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Budget Management : Prepare and manage the legal department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations. Contract Management : Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including supplier agreements, employment contracts, and licensing agreements, aligning with the company's objectives and mitigating legal risks. Policy Development : Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
