Job Title: Legal Head – Real Estate Industry

Location: Kumarapalayam, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu

Job Summary

The Legal Head will lead and oversee all legal activities of the real estate company, ensuring compliance with laws, managing agreements, handling litigation, and providing strategic legal guidance to support business growth. This role requires deep knowledge of real estate laws, RERA compliance, land documentation, approvals, and dispute resolution.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Legal Compliance & Advisory

• Ensure full compliance with RERA, property laws, documentation standards, and government regulations.
• Provide legal advice to management on business transactions, company policies, and risk mitigation.
• Review and approve all legal documents related to land purchase, development, and sales.

2. Documentation & Agreement Management

• Draft, verify, and finalize sale deeds, construction agreements, joint venture agreements, power of attorney, MoUs, and vendor contracts.
• Ensure accuracy, legality, and clarity in all documents before execution.
• Maintain updated records of all legal documents and property files.

3. Land & Property Due Diligence

• Conduct detailed due diligence for land acquisitions and property developments.
• Verify ownership documents, encumbrance certificates, approvals, and legal clearances.
• Coordinate with surveyors, government departments, and legal authorities.

4. Litigation Management

• Handle company-related court cases, disputes, and arbitration matters.
• Coordinate with external advocates and monitor case updates regularly.
• Prepare legal notices, replies, and supporting documents for litigation.

5. Regulatory & Government Liaison

• Liaise with local authorities, registration offices, revenue departments, and legal bodies.
• Ensure timely registration of documents and statutory approvals for real estate projects.
• Manage compliance with municipal, DTCP, RERA, and other regulatory bodies.

6. Internal Legal Support

• Support sales, marketing, civil, and HR teams with legal documentation and compliance.
• Train departments regarding legal processes, policies, and risk management.
• Conduct periodic audits of legal records and agreements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Minimum 7–12 years of experience in real estate legal operations.
• Strong knowledge of property laws, RERA, registration processes, and litigation.
• Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle pressure, solve problems, and manage multiple projects.

Working Conditions

• Location: Kumarapalayam Office, with field visits as required.
• Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Additional benefits as per company policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
