Leasing Manager

Job Summary: The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the leasing operations of residential or commercial properties. This role ensures high occupancy rates, provides excellent customer service, manages the leasing team, and helps develop and implement strategies to attract and retain tenants. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day leasing operations, including showings, application processing, and lease execution. Develop and implement marketing strategies to maximize occupancy. Lead and supervise the leasing team; provide training, support, and performance evaluations. Ensure leasing targets and revenue goals are met or exceeded. Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, competition, and trends. Oversee tenant relations, addressing concerns and maintaining a high standard of service. Prepare and maintain leasing reports, occupancy data, and performance metrics. Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for leasing. Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies. Represent the company at industry events and with local brokers as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in leasing, property management, or real estate sales. Proven leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of leasing practices, marketing, and tenant relations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in leasing software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Skills: Real estate license (if required by jurisdiction). Experience with both residential and commercial leasing. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
