Job Description

Conduct regular and emergency leak detection surveys across water distribution networks using acoustic devices, ground microphones, correlators, and other leak detection tools.
Identify and pinpoint leaks on pipelines, service connections, and fittings.
Mark leak locations clearly for repair teams and prepare detailed leak reports.
Monitor pressure and flow measurements to detect anomalies indicative of leaks.
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and calibration of leak detection equipment.
Collaborate with NRW engineers and maintenance teams to prioritize and address leak repairs.
Maintain accurate records of leak detection activities, including locations, sizes, and types of leaks.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve leak detection methodologies and technologies.
Conduct routine inspections of network components to prevent water losses.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during fieldwork.
Support community awareness campaigns on water conservation and leak reporting.
Hands-on experience with leak detection equipment and techniques.
Basic understanding of water distribution systems and hydraulics.
Ability to read maps, network plans, and technical drawings.
Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and accuracy in leak identification.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation.
Commitment to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
