Purpose of the Role:

systems at all levels in the state, with the aim to foster public health leadership, effect a systemic change and improve public health delivery in the state by government functionaries at all levels.


Key Deliverables:


  • Develop/Customize/Adapt comprehensive training packages for senior and mid-level state government officials responsible for anchoring public health, and frontline healthcare providers, with the view to improve training outcomes, competencies, and skills of all stakeholders.


  • Support the state health department in adoption and implementation of more effective and innovative training methodologies to ensure better training outcomes in the state.


  • Collaborate with partners and government departments to identify specific training and capacity gaps amongst stakeholders at all levels, design and implement appropriate public health training interventions through relevant state government departments.


  • Leverage subject matter experts from relevant institutes to support the state government in the domain of public health training across all levels.


  • Mentor and build the capacity of project team with the view to improve project outcomes.


  • Contribute to all state-level reviews of the state government in terms of evidence-based project findings, systemic training gaps identified, and suggested training solutions at all levels.


  • Establish a robust training feedback mechanism through state government systems to continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs at all levels and suggest necessary improvements for incorporation by the state government.


  • Guide District and Block project team on capacity building of district and block public health functionaries at all levels.


  • Any other duty as assigned by State Program Head.


Minimum Qualification:


Post Graduate in rural development/social work/development studies or equivalent from reputed institutions.

• Evaluation of Public Health Training Programs

• Process Development for Public Health Trainings at large scale

• Expert level knowledge of Public Health systems in the state
