As a Category Lead Services for EPC Gas to Power Projects in Oman, your role involves leading the services procurement function to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of construction, commissioning, and support services for projects. You will be responsible for strategic oversight, team leadership, and vendor management, with a specific focus on leveraging international sourcing, particularly from China. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the services procurement team, including Category Leads and Buyers. - Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key service categories such as construction, logistics, manpower, commissioning, and technical services. - Drive China sourcing initiatives for construction-related services and materials to optimize cost and delivery. - Ensure alignment of procurement activities with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements. - Oversee contract negotiations, finalization, and administration for high-value service contracts. - Build and maintain strong relationships with global and regional service providers. - Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and HSE standards. - Monitor supplier performance and resolve escalated issues to ensure service quality and continuity. - Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management on procurement performance and risks. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in engineering. - 15-20 years of experience in services procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within EPC or Oil & Gas/Power projects. - Proven experience in international sourcing, especially from China. - Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. - Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement analytics tools.,
