Grade Level (for internal use): 10 Team: The S&P Dow Jones Indices Technology's Quality Engineering is a global team that is responsible for the quality delivery of application that power global markets. Impact: You will be part of a team that is developing a user-friendly interface for S&P Dow Jones Indices' global customers. It lets users independently create, test, and analyze index ideas, and quickly move them to production. This tool simplifies the process of creating basic indices, making it faster and easier. Responsibilities Come up with test strategies and test plans for new and existing products Evaluate requirements and define testing objectives and approaches while working in a global Agile Scrum team. Contribute to end to end testing of software changes on the basis of functional and non functional requirements. Identify gaps in requirement and design and follow up with team to address them. Keep regression test suite updated. Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues. Perform root cause analysis of the defect leakage at various stages. Mentor junior quality engineers and provide guidance on best practices in testing and quality assurance. Ensuring that the pass percentage remains consistent. Implement and maintain the automation framework. Manage and maintain QA environments, including builds and deployments. Provides transparency through well-defined metrics, automation testing results, and reporting Work with performance testing team to ensure non functional requirements are verified. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Provide effective communication regarding issues, testing status, and potential risks Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes to enhance product quality and delivery speed. What Were Looking For: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience. 6 to 8 years of QA experience in software testing as a functional and automation tester. Proven record to contribute to web based selenium automation frameworks using java. Ability and willingness to work as an individual contributor or as a team member as needed. Key Skills Hands on experience on functional web testing application Hands-on experience with Object-oriented language like Java In-depth experience with leading automation testing tools/frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber/BDD, Well versed with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and techniques like git Should be proficient in querying a database using SQL Hands-on experience with API Web Services testing is a plus Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Index/Benchmarks or Asset Management or Trading platforms or capital markets Experience working in a global team environment and managing stakeholders across various time zones. Key Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
