Weʼre building a machine learning-powered legal risk assessment platform. As our Lead ML Engineer, youʼll architect and implement ML systems that enhance our existing six-pillar algorithmic risk engine, focusing on case outcome prediction with 70-79% accuracy across 100,000+ legal cases.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build ML ensemble systems using PyTorch and Transformers
Develop A/B testing frameworks to validate ML performance against algorithmic baselines
Implement model interpretability features for regulatory compliance (SEC/FINRA)
Create hybrid systems with automatic fallback to algorithmic predictions

Required Skills

5+ years production ML experience (not research-only) Expert-level PyTorch and Transformer models
Experience with model interpretability and explainability
FastAPI or similar high-performance Python frameworks
Track record of ML systems serving 1000+ requests per second

Preferred Experience

Legal tech or financial ML applications
Multi-database architectures / PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Pinecone)
Regulatory compliance environments
