This role is for one of Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1800000 - Rs 2800000 (ie INR 18-28 LPA) Min Experience: 7 years Location: Pune JobType: full-time Requirements About the Role We are looking for an experienced and strategic Lead - Management Accounting professional to oversee our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function. This role is critical to driving informed decision-making across the organization through comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and a sharp eye for identifying cost efficiencies and business improvements. As the Lead in this function, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, functional heads, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, strategic planning, and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, working with department heads and cross-functional teams to set realistic and aligned financial targets. Oversee monthly variance analysis, comparing actuals vs. budget/forecast, and highlight key drivers, risks, and opportunities. Provide strategic financial insights to leadership by building models and dashboards that support short- and long-term business planning. Identify and drive cost savings initiatives by analyzing cost structures, ROI of initiatives, and efficiency opportunities. Develop and maintain financial reporting frameworks, including KPI tracking, profitability analysis, and expense management. Act as a key partner in business decision support, delivering scenario modeling, investment analysis, and business case development. Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate financial closes, align accruals, and improve reporting timelines. Manage internal stakeholders and provide financial guidance to department leads to ensure sound financial practices across the company. Continuously improve FP&A tools, templates, and systems to drive automation, consistency, and better data utilization. Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of a high-performing finance team. Required Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of experience in Management Accounting, FP&A, or a similar financial planning role. Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control strategies. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis. Proficient in advanced Excel modeling and financial tools; experience with ERP systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Anaplan) is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing complexity and ambiguity. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
