Lead I - Software Testing (Performance Test / Jmeter)

As a skilled Performance Tester at UST, your primary responsibility will be to assess, analyze, and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of web applications. You will be involved in designing and executing performance test scenarios, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth user experiences under varying loads. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests for web applications. - Define performance benchmarks and ensure applications meet expected SLAs. - Use tools like JMeter (or similar) for test execution and reporting. - Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, database queries, network latency, etc.) during test runs. - Identify bottlenecks in application code, server configuration, or infrastructure, and work with developers/architects to resolve them. - Create detailed performance test plans, scripts, and reports. - Conduct root cause analysis for performance issues and recommend optimizations. - Collaborate with QA, Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to ensure end-to-end performance readiness. - Ensure performance testing is integrated into CI/CD pipelines where applicable. **Key Skills:** - Strong expertise in performance testing tools (preferably JMeter). - Solid understanding of performance engineering concepts such as throughput, latency, concurrency, and scalability. - Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or similar). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills.
