Job Description

Lead Generation & Sales Manager



Key Responsibilities:


1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Research and identify potential clients across industries (startups, SMEs, enterprises).
  • Generate leads through multiple channels: LinkedIn, email campaigns, cold calls, networking events, and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Leverage online platforms (Clutch, Upwork, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.) to identify opportunities.

2. Sales & Client Acquisition

  • Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand client needs.
  • Pitch agency services (SEO, Social Media Marketing, Paid Ads, Branding, Content, Web Development, etc.) effectively.
  • Prepare and present tailored proposals and quotations.
  • Negotiate contracts, close deals, and onboard new clients.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.

3. Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, creative, performance marketing) to ensure smooth onboarding of clients.
  • Follow up with prospects who have shown interest but haven’t converted.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional services to existing clients.

4. Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop and implement lead generation strategies to maximize conversions.
  • Track sales performance, lead sources, and ROI on campaigns.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to management.
  • Analyze competitor activity and market trends to refine outreach strategies.




Detailed Task List:


Daily Tasks

  • Research and identify new prospects in target markets.
  • Send out outreach emails, LinkedIn messages, and make cold calls.
  • Follow up with warm leads and maintain CRM records.
  • Conduct discovery calls with potential clients.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on lead-gen campaigns.

Weekly Tasks

  • Review pipeline and update sales dashboards.
  • Prepare tailored proposals and presentations.
  • Conduct at least 8–12 client meetings/discovery calls per week.
  • Analyze conversion rates from leads to opportunities.
  • Share competitor insights and market feedback with the team.

Monthly Tasks

  • Achieve set revenue and new client acquisition targets.
  • Present a monthly report on leads generated, deals closed, and pipeline status.
  • Develop new outreach strategies or partnerships for lead sourcing.
  • Train and mentor junior sales executives (if applicable).
  • Represent the agency at networking events, webinars, or industry meetups.




Key Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in

    sales and business development

    (preferably in a digital marketing/advertising agency).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, etc.).
  • Knowledge of digital marketing services (SEO, PPC, Social Media, etc.).
  • Ability to work with targets and under pressure.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and result-oriented.




KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Number of qualified leads generated per month.
  • Lead-to-client conversion rate.
  • Monthly revenue from new clients.
  • Average deal size/value closed.
  • Client retention in the first 3–6 months.
