Lead Engineer-Solution Engineer

Role Overview: As a Solution Engineer within Mechanical Engineering, your primary responsibility is to develop and implement designs for mechanical and electro-mechanical sub-systems used in medical devices. You will be driving innovation, completing large and complex designs, and demonstrating subject matter expertise in multiple areas of the design discipline. Key Responsibilities: - Complete conceptual design solutions for mechanical and electro-mechanical sub-systems, ensuring they meet critical requirements and timelines - Conduct detailed engineering analysis of new and existing designs independently to verify robustness and design intent - Produce detailed drawings using GD&T and engineering best practices - Drive large complex engineering changes through the design change and release process - Perform complex root cause analysis investigations - Prepare prototypes for testing and provide technical assistance on design feasibility - Collaborate with Suppliers to address technical issues with designs - Work closely with manufacturing and field service teams in the development of designs - Conduct and approve prototype testing and adhere to laboratory best practices - Participate in drafting and design reviews with a cross-functional team - Perform all verification activities and document results for knowledge transfer Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering - 8-10+ years of industry experience in product design and development - Experience with product development in an FDA regulated environment - Proficiency in using 3D CAD software, preferably NX, to develop designs with proper design intent - Strong knowledge of various manufacturing methods such as machining, sheet metal, and castings - Experience with GD&T and facilitating or participating in FMEA and DFMA activities - Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) - Strong electromechanical knowledge of motion technologies including motors, drives, etc - Proficiency with GD&T best practices and ability to perform complex tolerance stackups - Experience in conducting complex troubleshooting and root cause investigations - Proficiency in PLM systems, preferably Teamcenter, and workflows - Knowledge of Scrum Agile methodologies - Strong written and oral communication skills (Note: Additional details about the company were not included in the provided Job Description.),
