Role & responsibilities Architect solutions that encompass MDM platform & broader IT ecosystem • Design & engineer new master data capabilities within MDM platform: • Design & development of PIM catalogs & master repository • Design & development of new & existing data imports / exports • Design & development of new & existing hierarchies • Design & development of new & existing workflows • Design for MDM match & merge, fuzzy logic & survivorship rules • Assist with QA, DEV and Prod environment deployments • Assist with creation of testing plans, resolve any defect associated with development • This role will liaise across all relevant areas and with stakeholders at any level both within IT DnA team and across all function areas to deliver MDM capabilities • Engage with collaborative and proactive approach to solving key data needs • Lead, develop, mentoring and coach other MDM Engineers within the team • Define thorough workflow processes that enhance efficiency, minimize human touch and ensure high data quality results • Bring best-in-class and right sized MDM solutions to life at Giant Eagle • Design and deliver MDM solutions in a highly scalable, collaborative & agile manner • Depth of retail and/or product business process knowledge across disciplines required for successful Master Data designs. • Leverage a data centric approach across all demands to build once and deploy many • Ensure solutions meet stability concerns for ongoing maintenance and support. • Adhere to agreed upon Program/Project Management principles to ensure work delivery alignment to strategic imperatives • Produce all management reports completely, accurately and on time Preferred candidate profile Required: 7+ years experience as software engineer Experience with C# / MVC / .NET Experience with Relational & NoSQL databases Experience across a variety of data disciplines in developing solutions that include: Master Data Management (MDM) Master data design Master data architecture Experience with ETL, ELT & Data Integration Experience with GITHUB Experience with DevOps & Agile methodology o Desired: Experience with GS1 / GDSN Experience with Azure; in particular Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, BLOB Storage & Event Grid Retail data / systems / application experience
