Job Description

Lead Design Engineer is responsible for design development of Severe service globe control pressure seal valves product line. In this position, you will design and develop a new globe valve upgrade existing product line to support our global growth targets. Areas of responsibility Lead Design engineer is responsible for activities like Leads technical team to develop and execute overall project technical plan as per NPD stage gate process to complete project deliverables. Lead own concept design ideas, prototype build test. Identify project risks and build mitigation plan. Co-ordinating with supplier and production for sample development. Lead product certification process participate in certification audits for R D function for certifications like PED, SIL etc. Interact with Product Manager for better understanding of customer`s requirement. Closely work with global product centres to apply best engineering practices. Lead design verification design reviews. Develop execute comprehensive product validation plans. Generation Protection of intellectual property. Responsible for engineering documentation in support of product design, company standards, and regulatory requirements through the appropriate Product Data Management systems. Basic Requirements of the Job Bachelor of Engineering (BE / BTech) in Mechanical Engineering, and around 8 -12 years related engineering experience. Basic engineering (solid fluid) mechanics and have prior experience in industrial process control valves product development and engineering. Knowledge of process industry, basic metallurgy heat treatment, PTFE/O-rings, plating/coatings and valves are considered as an asset. Proficient in design tools SolidWorks and AutoCAD, PLM/EPDM packages, ASME/API/EN codes and standards, GD T, tolerance stack-ups Excellent Communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English (verbal and written). Proven ability to make decisions based on sound engineering practice/judgement.
