Lead Engineer/ Deputy Manager/ Asst. Manager/ Engineer- Piping Layout

Role & responsibilities

1. Piping Design & Layout Development

• Develop and finalize

  piping layouts

  ,

  plot plans

  , and

  equipment layouts

  for process and utility areas in compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Ensure optimal piping routes that satisfy

  safety

  ,

  operability

  ,

  maintainability

  , and

  constructability

  requirements.
• Prepare and review

  general arrangement drawings

  ,

  isometrics

  ,

  P&IDs

  , and

  line routing studies

  .

2. Coordination & Interdisciplinary Interface

• Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines

  process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation

  to ensure integrated and clash-free designs.
• Participate in

  3D model reviews (PDS, PDMS, E3D, SmartPlant 3D, or AutoCAD Plant 3D)

  and ensure proper model integration.
• Interface with

  clients, vendors, and construction teams

  to address design clarifications and resolve technical issues.

3. EPC / Engineering Consultancy Responsibilities

• Work within

  EPC or design consultancy environments

  , adhering to project schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Provide

  technical guidance and leadership

  to teams of piping engineers, designers, and modelers.
• Support project execution from

  FEED to detailed engineering and construction

  phases.

4. Piping Stress and Layout Integration

• Collaborate closely with the

  Piping Stress Engineering

  team to ensure layouts meet stress requirements and minimize flexibility issues.
• Review and incorporate stress critical line data, support locations, and expansion loops in the design.
• Candidates with strong knowledge of

  piping stress analysis

  (CAESAR II are preferred.

5. Equipment & Plot Plan Development

• Participate in the preparation and optimization of

  equipment layout plans

  ,

  plant layout

  , and

  unit arrangement

  to achieve safe, compact, and efficient designs.
• Ensure proper accessibility for operation, maintenance, and future expansion considerations.
• Support reviews of equipment nozzle orientations and coordinate with vendors for alignment.
  

6. Hands-on & Comprehensive Technical Knowledge

• Demonstrate strong all-round knowledge in

  piping materials, supports, valve selection, and fabrication practices

  .
• Review vendor drawings and ensure consistency with piping layouts and engineering requirements.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications,

  ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI

  , and client standards.

7. Leadership, Mentoring & Team Development

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers in piping layout and design development.
• Review deliverables prepared by team members and ensure adherence to project standards.
• Provide input to project planning, resource allocation, and technical quality control.
  

8. Field & Construction Support

• Support construction and commissioning teams by resolving field design issues and providing as-built updates.
• Participate in site surveys, constructability reviews, and piping walkdowns.

Preferred Candidates:

• Candidates with 04 to 15+ Years of experiences can be consider.
• Should have prior experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical & Fertilizer Industries.
• Should have experience in finalizing Piping Layout.(Senior Level)
