KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Lead Data Engineer in our Technology department, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing scalable data engineering solutions. You will lead a high￾performing team, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of robust data products and frameworks that drive business value.

Lead the design and implementation of advanced data engineering frameworks and pipelines utilizing Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and GCP Cloud Data Fusion. Architect scalable solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and reporting to support diverse business needs.

Oversee and guide the migration from legacy DEI toolsets to modern, cloud-based frameworks, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

Define, document, and enforce data engineering standards, best practices, and governance policies to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Collaborate with test engineering teams to integrate CI/CD and automated testing into data pipelines, enhancing reliability and efficiency.

Mentor and upskill data engineering teams through structured learning programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Ensure high data quality through comprehensive profiling, cleansing, deduplication, and validation processes using industry-leading tools.

Drive the development of metadata-driven and business-rule-based data pipelines for enhanced automation and scalability.

Work closely with stakeholders to understand evolving data requirements and deliver impactful, user-centric data products.

Position Requirements:

Work Experience:

Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex projects in technology-driven environments.

Extensive experience in architecting and implementing data solutions on Azure Cloud (Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Azure DevOps).

Demonstrated expertise in GCP Cloud Data Fusion, BigQuery, and Power BI for data integration and analytics.

Strong background in data modeling, data profiling, and building scalable, high￾performance data products.

Experience with ACL Robotics and advanced data cleansing tools is highly desirable

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced certifications in cloud data engineering or related technologies are a plus.

Skills / Behaviour Attributes:

Expert programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL.

Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring and developing data engineering teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.

Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks for data solutions.

Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
