Job Description

Actively investigating asset management firms and investment professionals that are included in S&P Globals buy-side database. Communicating directly with investment professionals across Japan and English speaking Asian countries to obtain details on their investment process over phone and emails. Identifying sources and creating processes for collecting and tracking new information and verify the existing information as needed. Analyzing regulatory filings, prospectuses, industry publications, firm websites and other sources for information pertaining to asset management firms and their investments. Entering all changes and new information into the databases in the specified format. Communicating regularly with team leader/management/team members regarding status of projects and workload. What we look for: Excellent Japanese and English communication skills Excellent communication and persuasion skills, specifically over the telephone 2 year of international calling experience and 1 year into capital markets research (Good to have) Basic knowledge on financial terms. Strong writing skills Bachelors degree preferably in finance or commerce Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively Interest in financial research and internet research Enjoys and is capable of handling a fast-paced work environment Ability to work in both a team and individual environments Strong attention to detail Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills Minimum typing speed of 40 wpm Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of capital markets including equities and fixed income markets preferred
