Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Lead Accountant specializing in Cost Accounting and Lease Accounting, based in Pune. The role involves responsibilities such as overseeing cost accounting procedures, preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Additionally, the Lead Accountant will carry out financial analysis and provide guidance on accounting best practices while supporting the organization in achieving its financial objectives.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Cost Accounting and expertise in analyzing and managing costing processes.
• Strong ability in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Financial Statements.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and support strategic decisions.
• Experience with Journal Entries and general accounting practices.
• In-depth understanding of Finance principles and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to lead and collaborate effectively.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting; prior experience in lease or cost accounting preferred.

🕒 Shift: should be flexible for US Shift - 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM

Lead Accountant-Cost Accounting and Lease Accounting

* 4-6 years of F&A experience of which 2+ years of GL experience.

* CA / CPA / Qualified Accountants or Intermediate Accountants required

* Proven people management skills

* Functional / domain knowledge in F&A processes, good analytical & aptitude skills

* Experience on process simplification / transformation.

* Strong team leading and motivational skills, performance reporting and tracking, derive performance improvement ideas

* Ability to multi task, prioritize activities & meeting deadlines

Execute day to day operational tasks such as inventory reconciliations, lease accounting

• Managing team

* Identify and execute transformation projects

• Act as a knowledge manager (Documentation, updating, version control)

• Ensure quality of the deliverables

• Motivate the team to meet and exceed SLAs

• Ability to lead and motivate team to achieve performance goals

• Deploy and monitor process controls, quality assurance plans and risk mitigation initiatives

• Manage delivery of GL services as per the agreement
