Position Overview We seek a Lead Backend Developer with strong architectural expertise, cloud deployment mastery, and leadership skills to drive our early-stage startups technical vision. While our core stack is Golang , we welcome candidates with extensive backend experience in other languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js) who are eager to transition to Go. You will lead backend development, design scalable systems, manage cloud infrastructure, and mentor a small engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can balance coding with strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Team Management Lead backend architecture design, ensuring scalability, security, and performance for microservices and APIs. Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering collaboration, code quality, and a startup-ready "get-it-done" mindset. Conduct code reviews, set best practices, and advocate for agile, iterative development 2. Backend Development & System Design Design and build high-performance backend systems using Golang (preferred) or comparable languages. Architect and optimize databases (NoSQL, MongoDB preferred) for flexibility and scalability. Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver seamless API integrations (REST/gRPC). 3. Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Ownership Own end-to-end cloud deployments (AWS preferred), including IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Ensure robust monitoring, security, and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure. Troubleshoot production issues and implement preventive measures for high availability. 4. Strategic Execution Partner with stakeholders to align technical priorities with business goals. Continuously evaluate tools and technologies to keep the stack modern and competitive. Champion rapid prototyping and data-driven decision-making. Qualifications Technical Expertise: 5+ years in backend development, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Proficient in Go (preferred) or similar languages (Java/Python/Node.js/C#) with readiness to adopt Golang. Strong experience designing microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.). Hands-on cloud deployment skills (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including IaC, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures (Lambda). Familiarity with DevOps practices: CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), and security best practices.
