Job Description

Job Summary
Leads implementation of enhancements based on customer requirements, Assists in developing, testing and implementing controlled submission, execution and monitoring of all automated enterprise business processes by utilizing the automated job scheduling software independently, (Control-M etc). Work on adminstration of the scheduling application like applying patches, agent upgrades, application upgrade, SSL certification etc.
Work will be reviewed at critical points.. Ability to lead small team projects and evaluate new requirements, major enhancements to existing environment.
Champions the WorkLoad Automation processby consistently advertising and promoting proactive Scheduling practice. Works with customers to understand and meet requirements (Incidents, Requests and Projects) within the confines of the teams capabilities. Suggests enhancements to process and technology where appropriate. Analyzes data from tools in various forms to assist Incident and Problem teams with troubleshooting and investigations.
Key responsibilities include:
1.Demonstrates basic ITIL concepts and understands the role Job Scheduling plays within the framework and Eaton.
2. Under the direction of the job scheduling team lead and/or senior job scheduling analyst, utilize scheduling software features to ensure appropriate and timely submission and processing of required workload. 3. Communicate with customers to understand business applications in order to properly and appropriately schedule their workload, and to educate and encourage use of available productivity tools and aids. 4. Assist in creating and maintaining scheduling documentation required to support the environment 5. Ensure appropriate integration of applications through proper use of scheduling software and understanding the effects of one application on another. 6. Provide rotational on-call support of the scheduling environment. This role includes the incorporation of several daily process tasks.Assist Sr. analysts with daily processing tasks 7.Support Sarbanes-Oxley requirements within the enterprise job scheduling organization 8 - Demonstrates mastery in a specialized technology area/toolset. 9 - Mentors junior team members on process, tools, and technology.

Responsibilites
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Involves working in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations.
B. Responsible for process, standards, governance and performance of the shared structures and technical environments.
C. Ability to access and evaluate products/vendors.
D. Has understanding of the technical platforms, applications, and tools currently utilized at Eaton (ServiceNow, Jira, Oracle DB etc)
E. Drive projects with broad scope of deployment, including sector and/or region
F. Architect, design and lead solutions for global processes for various functional organizations
G. Follow development standards and promote modularization and reuse of code
H. Be aware of industry automation trends, understand Eaton business and accordingly contribute in selecting business cases, develop prototypes and Proofs of Concept
I. Understand, learn and develop on different automation tools
J. Out of the box thinking, to identify and work around process design
K. Work within operational and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferrably in computer science Overall 7 -8 Years of exp with relevant exp in Work Load Automation (Control-M Scheduling/Adminstration) application
Advanced (3-5 years) knowledge of infrastructure hardware, application environments, and Work Load automation/Scheduling application.
Skills:
Leverages the internal playbook for all tasks and work related the team
Preferred:
- Good knowledge of Eaton business
- ITIL knowledge
- Workload Automation (Control-M) knowledge
- Broad range of application and infrastructure architecture knowledge
- Basics understanding Unix, Windows and Mainframe OS
- Good understanding of Shell script and SQL
- Good understanding of Rest API and python scripting.
Strong communication skills able to clearly explain ideas and listen actively to feedback.
Team collaboration comfortable working with cross-functional teams and contributing to group goals.
Problem-solving mindset approaches challenges with curiosity and persistence.
Attention to detail ensures accuracy in tasks and documentation.
Adaptability open to learning new tools and adjusting to evolving project needs.
