Role Overview

Lead AI Engineer

Key Responsibilities

AI Engineering & Delivery

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML, NLP, and generative AI solutions.
  
• Integrate AI models into enterprise systems ensuring scalability and reliability.
  
• Manage the complete AI lifecycle: data preparation, training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  

Technical Leadership

• Mentor engineers and guide technical teams in AI architecture and best practices.
  
• Write and review production-quality code using Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
  
• Promote TDD, CI/CD, modular design, automation, and modern AI dev tooling.
  

Research & Innovation

• Stay up to date with emerging AI frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
  
• Lead experimentation and rapid prototyping of AI and ML concepts.
  

AI Governance, Ethics & Security

• Implement responsible AI principles including fairness, transparency, and compliance.
  
• Mitigate adversarial threats and perform AI system risk assessments.
  

Testing & Quality

• Develop robust validation frameworks including unit tests, integration tests, and performance benchmarks.
  
• Maintain version control of datasets, models, and code.
  
• Establish and track KPIs for model performance in production.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with product managers, data engineers, architects, and business teams to define and execute AI requirements.
  
• Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience leading AI/ML engineering teams and delivering production AI solutions.
  
• Strong experience in

  Node.js, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript

  .
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangFlow, etc.
  
• Cloud experience with

  AWS / Azure / GCP

  .
• Deep understanding of

  Docker, Kubernetes

  , and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of data engineering, big data, SQL/NoSQL systems.
  
• Strong understanding of AI ethics, fairness, and security.
  
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  

Preferred (Good-to-Have)

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
  
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems.
  
• Experience with cloud-native AI deployment (serverless, orchestration).
  
• Exposure to React, Node.js frameworks, or .NET backend.
  
• Experience with SDLC, DevOps, TDD, and secure coding practices.
