Job Title: Learning & Development (L&D) Manager

Department: Human Resources
Location: Kozhikode, Kerala
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Required: 10+ Years in Learning & Development / Corporate Training

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Learning & Development Manager to design, lead, and scale enterprise-wide learning strategies that drive employee performance and organizational excellence. The role demands a strategic thinker who can act as a Corporate Trainer, LMS Strategist, and Team Leader while building a strong learning culture across departments.

This position plays a critical role in strengthening workforce capability, leadership effectiveness, and productivity through structured training frameworks and continuous development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities1. L&D Strategy & Program Development

  • Design and implement comprehensive Learning & Development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Create structured learning roadmaps for different roles and leadership levels.
  • Develop training modules and frameworks covering:
  • Organizational culture & core values
  • Product and course knowledge (NEET, JEE, Government exams, CA, CMA, ACCA)
  • Technical, functional, and subject-matter skills
  • Digital tools, software platforms, and productivity systems
  • LMS-based learning pathways and progress tracking
  • Conduct training needs analysis through performance data, surveys, and stakeholder feedback.

2. Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Deliver high-impact, classroom and virtual training programs as a Corporate Trainer.
  • Conduct leadership development sessions for Directors, Category Managers, Senior Leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead structured onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
  • Facilitate workshops, bootcamps, and skill enhancement programs across locations.

3. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, lead, and scale a dedicated L&D team.
  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate internal trainers, facilitators, and coordinators.
  • Establish a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Create succession and career development frameworks for internal talent.

4. Learning Management System (LMS) Management

  • Own and optimize the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) strategy and execution.
  • Design digital learning journeys and blended learning models.
  • Monitor learning metrics including completion rates, assessment scores, and engagement levels.
  • Implement modern learning methods such as gamification, microlearning, and mobile learning.

5. Performance Measurement & Business Impact

  • Define and monitor L&D KPIs to measure effectiveness and learning ROI.
  • Prepare detailed analytical reports for senior leadership on training impact.
  • Identify productivity gaps and deploy targeted improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with department heads to align training outputs with business performance.

Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in Malayalam and English (mandatory)
  • Working knowledge of Tamil and Kannada (preferred)

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
  • Human Resources
  • Education
  • Psychology
  • Business Administration
  • Or related disciplines
  • Certifications in:
  • Learning & Development
  • Instructional Design
  • Corporate Training (added advantage)

Preferred Industry Experience

  • Prior experience in EdTech, Education, Corporate Training, or Skill Development sectors.
  • Strong academic domain familiarity with:
  • NEET / JEE ecosystems
  • Government exam preparation
  • Professional courses such as CA, CMA, ACCA
