Laundry Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and count laundry items (e.g., linens, towels, uniforms) by fabric type, color, and cleaning requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing or pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use appropriate cleaning detergents and chemicals according to material type and company guidelines.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear, and take necessary actions (e.g., stain treatment, repair tagging).
• Fold, stack, and store cleaned laundry items neatly in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues with laundry machines or equipment promptly.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures at all times.
• Deliver or distribute clean laundry items to proper storage rooms or departments (if applicable).
• Assist with inventory control by counting and recording laundry items as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and fabric care techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and carry loads for extended periods.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a laundry facility or housekeeping area.
• Requires exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals.
• May involve shift work, weekends, and holidays depending on the operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
