Job Description

Department: Development Location: Bangalore Experience Required: 7 to 10 years Experience in Wind & Solar Industry Experience in land acquisition and land-related documentation Key Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English & Hindi Strong negotiation and analytical skills Ability to liaise with government authorities and stakeholders Proficiency in contract drafting, legal due diligence, and risk assessment Responsibilities: Contract Management & Negotiation: Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions. Analyze prime contract terms to identify opportunities and risks. Draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements during the Sales and Project Execution phases. Ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects (payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, guarantees, etc.). Risk Assessment & Compliance: Identify contract baselines and highlight potential risks. Verify fulfillment of contractual obligations and ensure proper closeout processes. Provide guidance on contract management-related matters and participate in claim negotiations. Ensure vendor agreements align with customer terms and conditions. Land Acquisition & Legal Compliance: Conduct property inspections and resolve infrastructure clearance issues. Negotiate with landowners and execute sale/lease agreements for power projects. Conduct legal due diligence for risk-free land acquisition. Oversee land conversion from agricultural to non-agricultural purposes for project development. Government Liaison & Approvals: Liaise with government authorities for necessary approvals, NOCs, and recommendations. Coordinate with Forest, Revenue, and other regulatory departments for land acquisition. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders for smooth procurement processes. Litigation & Legal Documentation: Monitor ongoing litigation and coordinate with panel advocates for speedy resolution. Draft replies, plaints, counters, and other legal documents. Conduct due diligence on land purchases and manage original document custody. Prepare legal backup papers and oversee legal compliance in project development. Project Development & Execution: Identify new project sites and conduct preliminary due diligence. Establish wind mast and conduct Wind Resource Assessment (WRA) studies. Develop budgets for new project sites and obtain management approval. Oversee contract finalization and management for land acquisition and project execution. Plan, schedule, and execute deliverables within the approved budget. Note: The role requires extensive coordination with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, legal teams, and project development teams, ensuring seamless execution of wind and solar power projects.
