Job Details Job Title: Lab Assistant Location: MIT-WPU, Kothrud, Pune Reporting To: Program Director Position Overview A Lab Assistant supports scientists, researchers, or educators in preparing, conducting, and documenting laboratory experiments. They ensure the laboratory environment is safe, organized, and well-equipped, facilitating smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Sample Preparation & Testing : Prepare, label, and process samples for analysis, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Equipment Maintenance : Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure optimal functionality. Data Management : Accurately record test results and observations, maintaining detailed logs and reports. Inventory Control : Monitor and manage laboratory supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels. Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a hazard-free laboratory environment. Collaboration : Assist senior lab personnel and collaborate with team members to facilitate research and educational activities. Qualifications Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree or diploma in relevant stream Experience : 2-10 years prior experience in a laboratory setting is mandatory. Technical Skills : Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures. Computer Proficiency : Basic knowledge of data entry and laboratory information systems.
