Lab Technician

Location: Chennai Employment Type: Full-Time Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in PCB assembly, cable making, cable routing, and soldering. A strong understanding of basic electronics principles is essential for this role. As a Lab Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of electronic assemblies and components, supporting production and R&D teams, and maintaining lab equipment. Key Responsibilities: PCB Assembly: Assemble printed circuit boards, including surface-mount and through-hole components, with precision and quality control. Soldering: Perform soldering tasks with attention to detail and adherence to standards. Cable Making & Routing: Design, assemble, and route cables according to specifications, ensuring proper tagging and secure connections. Testing & Debugging: Conduct basic testing and troubleshooting of electronic components and circuits. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all lab tools and equipment are well-maintained and calibrated. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to provide technical support during prototyping and production phases. Qualifications: Education: Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) Diploma in Electronics & Electrical Engineering (EEE) ITI or any related technical diploma Skills and Experience: Hands-on experience with PCB assembly, soldering, and wiring. Proficiency in cable making and routing techniques. Solid understanding of basic electronic components and circuits. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a similar role within the electronics industry. Familiarity with ESD-safe practices and tools.
