Job description Project Brief: MMU - BRBCL (Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited ): A noble project for providing quality primary healthcare services to the most underserved areas through operationalization and management of Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) Objectives: To improve health conditions of people in the proposed locations by conducting Mobile OPD at their doorstep To meet immediate healthcare needs through Health Camps To make people aware of health & hygiene issues by organizing Awareness Camps on health issues, facilitating community discussions To support Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiatives Lab Technician - MMU - BRBCL (Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited) Location: Nabinagar, Bihar Roles and Responsibilities:- 1. Collect blood or tissue samples from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample. 2. Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer. 3. Set up, adjust, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment. 4. Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices. 5. Conduct blood tests to perform blood counts. 6. Obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating and identifying microorganisms for Analysis 7. Examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities. 8. Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found. 9. Inoculate fertilized eggs, broths, or other bacteriological media with organisms. 10. Cut, stain and mount tissue samples for examination by pathologists. 11. Prepare standard volumetric solutions and reagents to be combined with samples, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures 12. Test raw materials, processes and finished products to determine quality and quantity of materials or characteristics of a substance. 13. Perform any other duty assigned by the higher authority as and when required. Preferred candidate profile:- DMLT with 1-4 years of relevant experience in a hospital/clinic or in public health program or any equivalent qualification. Perks and benefits Best in the industry.
